This year we are predominantly working online and remotely-although we do have a few face to face projects with particular groups. As well as the public programmes listed below we are also delivering programmes to a number of care homes, schools and charity organisations and are developing two new stage plays-one specifically for children and one for general audiences.
Stage Play Youth Theatre
Our youth theatre sessions have been running online via Zoom and google classroom. As soon as we are allowed we will be back at Accidental Theatre but in the meantime we have a range of online projects including weekly drama classes, specialised workshops and film based production work.

Postcard’s Home Poetry

Post Card’s Home is a visual art and poetry project aimed at connecting people who are apart. It is part digital, part postal and where possible also delivered in person through workshop sessions. We have various challenges and themes through the year to encourage and support writing. Our workshops are geared towards different people and can be delivered to a mixed family groups or individually to specific ages-children (early years, KS1 & KS2), Young people (12-15, 16-18) or Adults. We run 1to1 sessions and groups sessions. To find out more or to sign up or to contact us please click here

Outdoor Theatre
Several of our outdoor theatre productions are available to book for schools, events and festivals where and when this is allowed. We offer pop up shows from individual performers which can be performed in person at a distance, these include ‘through a window’ performances where ‘bubble’ groups can watch and interact safely and walk-by distanced versions of our usual walkabout acts as well as contactless and social distanced workshop style facilitation. We can also perform virtually via your preferred streaming service from our broadcast studio.
We can perform in open spaces, outside care homes and classrooms for example all without any direct contact but still giving a live experience.
All of our performers and facilitators have undertaken Covid-safe training and as legislation and advice changes this will be updated. We will conduct additional covid-19 risk assessments for each group and venue based on specifics on the latest legislation and medical advice in addition to our normal procedures. We have taken the decision based on our assessment of appropriate health and safety compliance to only allow vaccinated performers and facilitators to deliver our work. This was an easy decision for us as most of our facilitators work in care settings and have been vaccinated against Covid-19 already. We will also continue to use appropriate PPE and maintain compliance with recommended precautions such as mask wearing, sanitisation and distance. We will only perform where appropriate measures can be taken and Covid-safe practice can be maintained.
We are waiving our normal contact terms for this period so any live in person bookings are being taken on a flexible and no obligation contract basis where dates can be rearranged or cancelled at any point.
We would love to chat through what may be possible and to take provisional bookings. So please do get in touch and we can share ideas.
